Business Continuity Program (BCP)

This a snapshot and reference of the Business Continuity Program initiated at The Clorox Company under William “Scott” Grago, 2012-2015.

BCP 2.0 extends ideas first outlined in the 1970’s known as Business Continuity Management (BCM), which evolved into Continuity of Operations (CoOP) programs coined in the 1990’s by the US Government. BCM forms the umbrella with 5 defined areas. The idea is to have a plan that 1. enables YOU and your group to keep supplying your deliverable to the business, 2. Have a written recovery plan for each group involved in a creating a deliverable, 3. Satisfy the GRC requirements.

Does it work? Here’s a snapshot of Clorox stock from 2018-2022. The pandemic is right in the middle, from 2019-2021. It not only worked, but Clorox thrived while other businesses struggled, or went out of business.
